The shrimp and grits tapas was great. Friday night around 6 and not many cars in the lot. We don't need its content. The food, however, took a good 30 minutes to arrive. The Brussels sprouts were hard but the flavor was pretty good.
Great beverage selection, and of course. My girlfriend ordered the Georgia shrimp; they were dry as well! Honestly, to be in a restaurant for 2 hours and not get two rounds of drinks. Reminds me of many restaurants in San Antonio or New Orleans where you eat on the second floor. I love the extended patio space. Please check prices with the restaurant before visiting or ordering. Once it did, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, some temperature issues when it arrived but I attribute that to the slower service, not the kitchen.
They let us keep the oysters but they were so over cooked there wasn't much there. Many things have changed since 1925, but our commitment and dedication to delivering Maine lobster and fresh seafood to our guests remains the same. For an area so famed for its lakes and yet so devoid of even one seafood place, Off The Hook seems heaven sent. They do take reservations and have Wifi. Then they served me overcooked, salty grouper. First time I've tried off the hook restaurant and for sure it will never be the last. The calamari starter was an enormous portion, covered in a delicious soy-wasabi sauce.
My experience at Off The Hook was awful from start to finish. My wife and I decided to give it a try for a Monday lunch. A width of 0 indicates the element is not visible. Prices subject to change without prior notice. We've been around for Busters and Bubbas so the nostalgia this building has was overwhelming as we walked in.
The second round of drinks never made it to our table. So happy that this place opened up. So time your reservations accordingly. I wanted so badly to tell you it was perfect. Really looking forward to our next visit! The color schemes, the decor, the semi happy go lucky dress code for the staff all makes for a sense of laid back seaside relaxation from the moment you step through the door. Then they served me overcooked, salty grouper. Update: Forget everything I said about the grouper, round two was better than perfect.
The calamari appetizer was good but dinner was not good. The view of the lake in the summer evening is phenomenal! And then one person's order was not correct so we had to wait for that drink to arrive. The sangria was heavily watered down. I ordered the broiled mixed seafood platter. I love a great meal and have no problem paying for it, but this one wasn't worth it.
I wanted so badly to tell you it was perfect. After we were seated and greeted by Haley spelling? A seafood resto is born!!! We endeavor to provide our customers with a pleasant dining experience with customer satisfaction being our number one goal! We are more than happy to welcome you to our restaurant and retail showroom where you can enjoy one of Boston's best Lobster Rolls and other New England classics. Times may change, but our goals remain the same. The menu we received was a greasy ,plastic laminated placemat. The waitress was sweet, but seemed to forget about us. The table next to us had the wrong food as well.
Reminds me of many restaurants in San Antonio or New Orleans where you eat on the second floor. All in all I know they have some things to figure out because they've just recently opened, but don't think I will be going back. When you're craving fresh , we've got you covered. We ordered two appetizers one was the fried calamari and scallops wrapped in bacon. Our cod was raw in the middle. Yup, definitely a seafood oriented place though the menu does offer some entrees for the meat and bird crowd! We work with local fisherman and farmers to provide the best possible product. So time your reservations accordingly.
I took a bunch of colleagues there for dinner. For our mains Pilar had the Mustard Crusted Salmon dish and I the Bayou Catfish. Or, grab your favorite drink, imbued with rum, gin or vodka made by a local distiller. Our management team and crew are skilled hospitality professionals. Can't wait to come back and try other entrees. The ambiance blends with it's millennial kind of set up! We chose to over look that and set down anyway.
I wouldn't recommend it here not only because of the taste but the price for the amount you're served. The menu was limited to a few seafood dishes and one kind of beef. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked as well. It was flown in that day and was wonderfully prepared. Loved the decor and whole vibe of the place. I highly recommend this place! The owners are really nice people from Atlanta.
